As part of a university assessment piece I designed a climate change infographic poster to communicate a complex environmental issue. This was done through clear, engaging, and visually accessible data gathered through in-depth research.
The poster combines concise key facts with impactful graphics and a cohesive colour palette to highlight key information of coral bleaching. By prioritizing clarity and visual hierarchy, the design guides the viewer through the information, making difficult concepts easier to understand for those without prior knowledge and understanding on the matter.
The infographic emphasizes the real-world impact of coral bleaching, and displays the threat it brings to our oceans ecosystem. To strengthen its educational value, the poster presents credible statistics alongside visual comparisons that encourage awareness.
Overall, the design demonstrates my ability to research, apply effective visual communication principles, and create an informative piece that supports environmental literacy.
With the climate issue at such a vital point in history, the need for engagement and education surrounding the issue is at an all time high.

Linking back in with my infographic poster design for an assessment piece, I created a brochure that covered the same topic within climate change that was informative enough to be a serious read, while keeping a level of clarity throughout to be educational for those who already understand climate change, particularly those within the ‘concerned’ target group towards which I am catering.
I wanted to keep the attention on the main purpose of my interactive brochure design, which was communicating the effects and details of coral bleaching and the environmental stress that our oceans are currently facing.
The layout my brochure was designed with features clear hierarchal structure throughout it, each page crafted to feature the correct information and formatted to be visually appealing and engaging to readers, all while maintaining its educational factor.
Sporting throughout the pages is bold, large titles that grab the readers attention, followed by easy-to-read chunks of informative text that details essential information on coral bleaching, the process, the reason, and its effects.
